Requirements

  • Medical degree with specialty qualification in General Anesthesia 
  • Minimum 3 years of specialist clinical experience post-qualification in a recognized international healthcare setting (UAE nationals require at least 1 year)
  • Proven expertise in general anesthesiology practice, including perioperative care and pain management
  • Demonstrated excellence in patient communication, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage
  • Compliance with Maintenance of Certification standards where applicable

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-focused anesthetic care under supervision and in accordance with clinical protocols and guidelines
  • Monitor, evaluate, and manage patients before, during, and after surgical and diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications, anesthesia, and specialized therapies as indicated
  • Document clinical findings and treatment plans accurately in patient records
  • Support surgical teams by performing anesthesia-related interventions and ensuring patient safety
  • Participate in quality assurance, clinical governance, and continuous professional development activities
  • Engage in hospital administrative duties such as committees and performance improvement initiatives
  • Adhere strictly to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards governing medical practice
